Logo design with Yeon
Eve and I have been working around the clock to get some new content ready for you all. We are pretty excited about it. It’s super pretty, fun and a can have a hint of humor. Most importantly – you will leave feeling inspired to do something.
With all the commotion of getting everything together, it was brought to our attention that we don’t have a logo for NonLinearKnitting.
This isn’t an easy thing to come up with. It’s the identity of your brand. The one thing (hopefully) people will see and think of you immediately. I spent all week thinking about it. Everywhere I went, I started paying attention to company logos.
Some are very obvious(Target), some are just the name (Nintendo, Coca-cola), some are just shapes (Chase Bank) and then some just seem random (Starbucks – its logo is the mermaid.)
So my fantastically artsy friend Yeon, shop owner of Adorned in August, came to visit.
She came supplied with colored pencils, paints, papers and lots of inspiration. We flipped through photos and videos from our trip to Iceland, lots of video footage (you’ll be seeing soon!)
Yeon began wandering our apartment to get inspiration and started scribbling away. I sat and ripped apart yarn, trying not to break her concentration. The HB kept bringing us out courses of brain food to keep us going. Plated is a course of roasted brussel sprouts, salmon with a reduction sauce and a wild rice.
By the end of the evening, we had something new and fun – yet familiar. I have to bring it to the rest of the team before anything is official.
We are getting one step closer to launching our new content! Get ready…
