I think dieting is bullshit. I am under the belief that my body knows what it needs: I crave it. Then I eat it. Sometimes that might be pineapple for a solid week, sometimes celery for breakfast and pancakes for dinner. As long as I eat lots of colors (no sprinkle doughnuts sadly do NOT count) I feel that I’m in good shape.
This winter has been a chilly one! So instead of hating the snow, go play in it and have a “Winter Time Adventure!” as my friend, RBK would say.

Today is a snowy snow day. I thought….what better way to warm up then with a good ‘ol cup of Joe! Except making coffee in my house is not as simple as opening a new can of Maxwell House, but it’s a well worthwhile journey. There is something about making coffee that I find relaxing and I just wanted to share that relaxing feeling on a snowy day.
Why does divorce have to cause everyone to be a debbie downer? I say we change the way people look at break-ups and start celebrating the fact that two people can decide to love each other without being with each other.
What better way to do this than with a party?! Come on guys and gals. Get your party hats on and let’s plan together.
Sometimes life gets messy and my life currently is: A. Mess.
So, it’s time for me to start cleaning it up. In order to get through the chaos, I have to assign myself “projects” just like I’m back in middle school – where learning was something that is forced upon you because you had no interest in doing it if you were left to your own devices.
I woke up this weekend like a bear coming out of hibernation. I awoke to the wonderful Spring sunshine pouring in through the curtains and walked into a nice living room full of light. Birds were chirping all around just like Snow White.
Then I walk into the kitchen, my favorite room in the apartment. But all I could see was MESS. Jars stacked onto jars. All of my dry foods sitting around and my cabinets barely closing because they are packed to the gills!
